About This Role
The Nurse Manager for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Strong Memorial Hospital is responsible for overseeing all patient care and nursing activities within the unit. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong clinical and leadership skills, who can advance nursing practice and improve patient and family experiences.
Highlights- Pay: $108,160 - $146,016/year
- Location: Rochester, NY

- Department/Unit: NICU
- Schedule: Full-time, Day shift
- Maintain 24-hour accountability for all patient care and nursing activities on the assigned inpatient unit.
- Oversee and direct unit activities including standards development and human resource management.
- Assess resource needs and utilization for the unit.
- Develop staff and facilitate communication within nursing practice and other departments.
- Oversee performance improvement activities at the unit level.
- Participate in committees at all levels within the institution.
- Manage clinical operations, staffing, and workforce development.
- Implement evidence-based standards of care.
- Conduct ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- BSN required;
Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred (required within 5 years of appointment).
- Minimum of 5 years of NICU nursing experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of unit-based nursing leadership experience.
- Active NYS RN license required.
