American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring a NY RN license in hand and EPIC EMR experience.
Requirements- Active NY RN license required in hand, no exceptions
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
- Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams
- Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
- Experience with respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and oxygen tanks
- Knowledge of non-invasive airway management and isolation precautions/PPE
- Med/Surg Tele unit within a tertiary care hospital
- 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for Med Surg patients
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Provide direct care to Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac monitoring and respiratory support
- Scrub colors limited to any combination of navy and white
- First time travelers accepted
- Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered
- Returning staff must wait 6 months system wide before reapplying
- Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered
