Surgical Intensive Care Unit - LPN , Inpatient

Responsibilities

In an inpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system. Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care. Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD. Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication.

FT positions available, D/E/N, 12 hour shifts, weekends and holidays per unit policy.

Seeking highly motivated and flexible individuals with strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills to join the Surgical ICU/Progressive care team. Will be responsible for helping in the care of all patients. Requires a diploma from an accredited LPN Nursing Program and an active New York State LPN license in good standing. Acute medical-surgical experience or critical care experience preferred.
