About This Role

The Pediatric Operating Room level 1 position at Strong Memorial Hospital is ideal for new graduate nurses eager to build their competency in direct patient care within a multidisciplinary team. This role involves supporting pediatric patients across various specialties.

  Rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends

• Function as a new graduate nurse with less than one year of experience.
• Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, build competency in the provision of direct patient care.
• Contribute to unit activities and support enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
• Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
• Care for pediatric patients across the age continuum in various specialties including general surgery, urology, dental, OMFS, neurosurgery, plastics, burns, ENT, and orthopaedics.

Education:

• Nursing degree from an accredited Nursing Program required.

Experience:

• New graduates welcomed.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Active New York State RN license in good standing required.
