Charge Nurse - Night Shift Location

New York

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

The Charge Nurse will oversee staffing, manage patient and visitor needs in real-time, mitigate risks, support bed placement, facilitate patient throughput, and adhere to key initiatives such as bedside handoff. This role ensures coverage during 12-hour shifts from 3 PM to 7 AM, Monday to Friday, and 24-hour coverage on weekends and holidays.

• Manage and supervise nursing care delivered across all units.
• Support patient movement and placement throughout the facility.
• Coordinate staffing needs in real-time.
• Implement and support key patient care initiatives.
• Document processes related to patient care, including death and discharge against medical advice (AMA).
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.

• Minimum of 1 year of Charge Nurse experience required.
• Current New York RN license required.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, NIHSS mandatory.
• Experience with electronic health records, specifically EPIC, is a hard requirement.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
