About This Role

The ICU Flex Team Registered Nurse 2 at Strong Memorial Hospital provides competent direct patient care in a dynamic critical care environment. This role is ideal for both new graduates and experienced nurses looking to enhance their skills across multiple Adult Intensive Care specialties.

• Pay: $40 - $54/hour
• Location: Rochester, NY
• Facility: Strong Memorial Hospital
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Provide competent direct patient care based on established standards.
• Contribute to unit activities and support the enhancement of the care delivery system.
• Support peers in the delivery of patient care services.
• Assume expanded roles such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.
• Actively practice across multiple Adult Intensive Care specialties.
• Manage changing clinical priorities using strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Participate in a unique orientation process to build diversified, high-level skills.
• Work in five distinct environments:
  Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Burn/Trauma ICU, Neuromedicine ICU, and Burn/Trauma Progressive Care.
• Engage in clinical ladder advancement opportunities.
