Registered Nurse (RN) - Addiction Treatment Center

🕒 Per Diem | 8-Hour Shifts Available

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a leading Addiction Treatment Center in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care and support to individuals on their recovery journey while working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

• Days: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Evenings: 3:55 PM - 11:55 PM
• Nights: 11:45 PM - 7:45 AM

• Conduct comprehensive admission assessments and ongoing client evaluations.
• Administer medications and provide physician-ordered treatments.
• Transcribe physician orders and collect specimens for laboratory testing and cultures.
• Provide health education and support to clients throughout treatment.
• Monitor client behavior and participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Assess client needs and identify barriers to successful treatment outcomes.
• Respond to and manage psychological, physiological, and behavioral crisis situations.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic and/or written documentation.
• Assist in creating a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment.
• Monitor clients and ensure facility security and safety protocols are followed.
• May provide clinical supervision and guidance to direct care staff and counselors.
• May serve as shift supervisor on evening or night shifts.
• Assist with general client care activities, including meal and room preparation as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Active RN license in New York State.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, detox, addiction treatment, or substance abuse settings preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
