Description:
Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN)
4x10-hour shifts Day/Evening hours 40 hours per week Weekends, holidays, and on call per unit need
Exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment Provides specialized patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures Procedures include biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures Role includes preparing patients, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery including PACU and extended stay (23-hour) IR is an essential part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients Requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment The IR RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Required Qualifications- NYS RN License
- BLS (AHA only)
- ACLS (AHA only)
- Telemetry experience
- 1 year of recent IR experience
- Dress Code & Infection Prevention Will be required to wear hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops
- Additional infection prevention measures required when working in procedural areas
