Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Scheduling Details and Charting
- Shift Hours / Contract Length: 7a-7p alternating with 7p-7a; 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirement:
Every other weekend - On Call Requirement:
None - Charting: EPIC experience required;
Non-EPIC systems include CPN/Client Centricity - RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests:
Must be submitted at the time of application - Call Off Policy:
Up to three shifts may be canceled by the employer during the 13-week contract without charge for the canceled hours - Holiday Requirement:

Registered Nurses within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted;
Licensed Practical Nurses within this radius are accepted
License:
Active single-state RN or LPN license required (New York license required; compact licenses not accepted)
- OB-ACLS or ACLS
- BLS
- EFM certification
- NRP
- Assisting with vaginal deliveries
- Circulating for C-sections and post-operative recovery
- Administration of Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), and Terbutaline
- Performing APGAR scoring and newborn care including baby catching, /security banding, and use of radiant warmers for thermoregulation
- Foley catheter insertion and management
- Care of fundus, lochia, and perineum
- Management of postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension
- Conducting Non-Stress Tests (NST)
- Use and calibration of External Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and Intrauterine Pressure Catheter (IUPC)
All pregnant patients at any gestational age accepted by the provider team are cared for. Triage evaluates all pregnant patients at any gestational age and all postpartum patients within six weeks of delivery.
Equipment includes fetal and telemetry monitors, wireless fetal monitoring systems, neonatal resuscitation devices, and newborn warmers.
Floating within the nurse's skill set will be required.
Scrubs are provided by the hospital.
