Lawn Masters Crew Leader Job Summary

We are currently looking for both a Crew Leader for:

• Lawn Maintenance
• Landscaping

• The right candidate should have no less than 1 year of experience as a LEADER with residential or commercial lawn mowing and landscaping.
• You are able to work with minimal supervision, as part of a team, and direct the activities of two or more team members.
• As a Crew Leader, you are enthusiastic, personable, detail oriented, honest, reliable, and self-motivated.
• You should have a working knowledge of lawn mowing, maintenance techniques as well as knowledge of lawns, plants and the knowledge of all landscaping aspects.
• It is important to have an eye for a beautiful aesthetic look for the customer.
• A Crew Leader will be responsible for safely and efficiently coordinating the lawn mowing and maintenance efforts or the general landscaping while also providing excellent customer service that meets or exceeds the standards of clients and management.
• You will be responsible for filling out the necessary paperwork for the office.
• You will be responsible for following your lawn lists in a timely manner in order to finish the days route. Weekend work is mandatory for when the weather plays part in an interrupted weeks schedule.
• Landscaping sheets are also involved with development maintenance or on time jobs.
• Correct hours should be recorded for the office to property input numbers and therefore paperwork is a huge factor with this position.
• You must be comfortable operating all maintenance equipment, such as zero turn lawnmowers, trimmers, whackers and blowers along with all hand tools such as rakes, shovels, edgers etc.
• You must have a clean and valid drivers license in order to drive our company trucks.
• You must possess a NY State DOT card. If you do not have one, you will be sent to be tested in order to receive your NY State DOT card.
• All Crew Leaders must drive, therefore if you do not have a valid drivers license, please do not apply.
• You must have experience with driving a truck and trailer, since you will almost always be hooked up to a trailer.
• A Crew Leader will also be an integral part of Lawn Masters snow and ice management system in the winter.

We pride ourselves in keeping our clients’ exterior safe and looking beautiful, so our team works in various types of weather conditions and performs maintenance duties to ensure employee safety during inclement weather by removing debris, snow, and ice from communal walkways and spaces.

• Must know how to operate lawn maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers etc.
• Able to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to use a wheelbarrow
• Must have minimum 1 year experience as a LEADER with a valid record of work experience with references to be verified
• MUST SPEAK ENGLISH
• Must have valid  social security card
• Must have a valid drivers license
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Must have a working cell phone for communication
• The ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
• Must be able to complete daily paperwork, follow work lists and record hours.
• Must possess a NY State DOT card or be able to pass the test for it.
• Must take pride in the quality of your work.
• Honesty and attendance is crucial.
• Experience on heavy equipment is a definite PLUS.
