An individual who is passionate about animal care, highly motivated, efficient, and pays attention to detail. Veterinary Assistants work side by side with Veterinarians (DVMs) and Licensed Vet Technicians (LVTs) during procedures. This is a part‑time, relief position.
Role Responsibilities- Competently speak and write the English language.
- Perform job tasks efficiently without rushing.
- Promote a positive attitude among staff.
- Handle stress and pressure with poise and tact.
- Communicate and educate clients on medical recommendations in person or over the phone.
- Stock exam and treatment rooms with supplies, maintaining a clean environment for the hospital.
- Utilize computer information systems to record patient history, update and maintain medical records.
- Precisely dispense pharmaceuticals as required.
- Aid in placing weekly inventory orders, manage on‑hand inventory, and receive shipments.
- At least 1 year of experience in animal husbandry.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent, AAS or higher preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, squat, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay range starting at $16‑18/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
