Beyond Talent Edge has a direct hire opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Quality Technician. Our client is a technology driven leader in a unique industry with global reach. They are expanding their global team adding several new product lines and to their team.
In this role as a Manufacturing Quality Technician you will focus primarily on performing dimensional and visual inspections using precision metrology equipment, assisting with document control activities, process inspections, and helping maintain the organization’s training systems.
A FULL JOB DESCRIPTION WILL BE PROVIDED TO QUALIFIED/INTERESTED CANDIDATES
RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and other precision instruments.
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and specifications to verify product conformance.
- Document inspection results, nonconformances, and rework actions accurately and promptly.
- Support root cause investigations by providing measurement data and inspection feedback.
- Help ensure compliance with internal document control policies and applicable standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, etc., if applicable).
- Support audits by providing documentation related to training compliance.
- Oversee calibration of tools and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training in quality, manufacturing, or metrology preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality or inspection role.
- Strong understanding of metrology tools and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with document control processes and training record management a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data entry.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015
- Experience working with SAP ERP system
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control techniques.
- ASQ certification, preferred
- Evaluation of product loss data.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Standing, bending, lifting and sitting throughout the day
- Fast paced environment, occasionally
- $24-$30/hr
