Description
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with the company's Quality programs, goals, and objectives.
The Quality Assurance Supervisor leads activities to support and ensure that quality performance goals: quality targets cost of quality, scrap, rework, customer returns, warranty returns, and DMRs (Defective Material Returns) are met. These activities include vendor quality initiatives, variation reduction, formal problem solving, and root cause analysis.
This job is located on site in Rochester, New York. No relocation package offered

Requirements
Professional Requirements:
* Develops and applies prevention-based quality assurance tools and processes to ensure processes and products meet customer, company, and safety requirements.
* Oversees and manages the material and component inspection processes and inspector.
* Completes process improvement projects that support company wide quality improvement initiatives.
* Serves as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
* Designs, implements and documents procedures from process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
* Performs root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements
* Reports quality issues, trends and losses by using in-process defect data.
* Tracks, analyzes, and leads initiatives for all quality and customer compliance issues within production processes.
* Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, evaluating and compliance.
* Interacts with internal customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.
* Interacts with internal and external customers to ensure compliance.
* Develop the appropriate level of process documentation to ensure quality standards and met.

* Proficient in the manufacture and test of electrical and mechanical products
* Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
* Excellent autonomous problem-solving ability.
* Effective liaison who can assemble individuals and cross-functional teams to problem-solve and to get the desired results
* Continuously exhibit the highest levels of professional discretion as a quality and manufacturing representative of Ambrell in all supplier and customer relationships.
* Energetic, curious, resourceful, highly creative and self-motivated. Able to thrive in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment.
* Ensure that all activities are in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
