Compensation Range: $61,000.00 - $85,400.00 The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities
  • The Research Integrity & Conflicts of Interest Administrator supports the daily operations of the Office of Research Integrity, Stewardship & Ethics (ORISE) research integrity portfolio. Reporting to the ORISE Research Integrity Director, this position provides substantive administrative, analytical, and operational support for research conflict of interest and commitment reviews, research misconduct processes, responsible and ethical conduct of research programming, data stewardship initiatives, and related research integrity activities.

    The position serves as a resource to faculty, researchers, staff, trainees, and institutional partners, and requires discretion, sound judgment, strong analytical skills, excellent written communication, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters in a complex academic research environment.
Essential Functions
  • Support the University's research conflict of interest and commitment (COI/COC) program, including annual disclosures, transactional disclosures, and other research-related outside interest or outside activity reviews.
  • Conduct preliminary review and analysis of disclosures; identify matters requiring additional information, escalation, committee review, or management; draft case summaries and preliminary analyses; support COI committee activities; and assist with drafting, tracking, and monitoring conflict management plans.
  • Provide operational, analytical, and administrative support for research misconduct assessments, inquiries, investigations, and related research integrity proceedings in accordance with University policy and applicable federal requirements.
  • Assist with intake, tracking, organization of materials, timelines, notices, correspondence, committee documents, secure document access, meeting logistics, interview support, deadline monitoring, and confidential case records.
  • Support implementation and coordination of University-wide responsible and ethical conduct of research (RECR/RCR) programming.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, communication, registration, documentation, evaluation, web content, training records, guidance materials, and development of educational content related to research integrity, COI/COC, research misconduct, data stewardship, authorship, mentorship, peer review, and other responsible research practices.
  • Support ORISE initiatives related to research data integrity, data stewardship, documentation, preservation, and responsible management of research records.
  • Assist with coordination among ORISE, University Libraries, ORPA, Research Security, Office of Counsel, schools, departments, and other partners; support guidance, communications, educational activities, special projects, risk assessments, process reviews, and policy implementation activities.
  • Conduct outreach and serve as a resource to faculty, researchers, departments, schools, administrative offices, committee members, and institutional partners on research integrity requirements and processes.
