We are more than just a Parts Store and are seeking talented individuals to join our NAPA family! As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you will be the "face of the retail store," assisting customers with their automotive needs. No need to tear down motors—though skills in automotive parts are a plus. This role is ideal whether you're looking for a career as a Parts Specialist, seeking full/part-time work, or exploring other opportunities within our company.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Providing auto parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone
- Assisting team members with customer questions using your parts knowledge
- Delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive shopping experience
- Engaging with customers with energy and focus in a fast-paced environment
- Using technology, including computers, cash registers, telephones, and paper catalogs
- Enjoy helping customers with auto parts and service questions
- Have gained automotive experience through work or personal tinkering/repairs
- Are willing to learn about automotive parts if you're new to the industry
- Are eager to grow your career with us—opportunities are plentiful!
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn
- High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses are a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting
- Strong listening skills and empathy for customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership
- Experience in auto parts retail, auction, auto body/collision
- Knowledge of cataloging or inventory systems
- Customer-centric mindset
- ASE Certifications (a plus but not required)
