General Function:
Handle food safely, maintain a clean workspace, run registers, and provide courteous customer service.

• Deliver prompt, friendly and efficient customer service; greet, address by name, and assist with location of items.
• Take customer orders at the delicatessen counter, review daily orders, and perform related tasks such as loading/unloading heavy items and handling special requests.
• Operate the department registers, receive payment, and make change where applicable.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products, maintain proper sanitation, and ensure food freshness and supply availability.
• Check in and store products, review invoices, and remove trash promptly.
• Respond to telephone calls promptly, take orders, and provide friendly service.

• Wash dishes, price products, and order supplies as necessary.
• Deliver orders and assist in other store areas when needed.
• Perform other job‑related duties or special projects as assigned.

• Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Perform arithmetic calculations with fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Maintain customer focus and professionalism in all interactions.

Less than high school or equivalent experience and at least six months of related work experience.

• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
• Perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Maintain visual acuity within 20 inches to 20 feet, with or without correction; require color vision, depth perception, and field of vision.

This position is exposed to dust, noise, equipment movement hazards, and electrical shock. Occasional exposure to temperature extremes and cleaning chemicals is expected. The work environment is fast‑paced.

• Kitchen utensils, hot wrapping machine, garbage disposal, trash compactor, cardboard compactor, box cutter, slicer, scales, delivery van, pallet jack, hot wrapper, knives.

Hourly wage: $13.50 to $16.80 depending on experience.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
