Job Statement

The Receiving Clerk Intern supports the daily operations of the MCC Bookstore by assisting with order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory processing for textbooks, clothing, and gift merchandise.

Specific Functions & Responsibilities
  • Sort orders by location and payment type
  • Pick, fulfill, and process orders
  • Prepare and box orders for pickup or shipping
  • Unpack and process incoming shipments
  • Stock merchandise and maintain organized inventory areas
  • Assist with store pickup order management
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Supervision & Evaluation

Receive ongoing supervision and mentoring from bookstore leadership.

Completion of a reflection or summary of learning may be required for EOP.

  • EOP student
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed
