Supporting NY Account Managers
This multifaceted position encompasses administrative responsibilities, research tasks, database management, and customer engagement to ensure the seamless operation of our sales department.
Responsibilities- Market Research and Data Maintenance:
Continuously update and manage an extensive database containing information about potential, existing, and previous client sales. - Follow‑Up Communication:
Aid in making phone calls, sending correspondence, and utilizing various communication methods to follow up on quoted projects and ascertain project awards. - Product Expertise:
Stay current with the latest materials and industry trends to offer valuable support to clients with inquiries and requirements. - Inventory Oversight:
Collaborate with the inventory management team to guarantee adequate stock levels for materials needed in upcoming projects. - Quotation:
Provide assistance in the quotation process by procuring quotes from manufacturers and compiling project proposals, especially for unique items. - Submission and Sample Procurement:
Prepare accurate annotated submittal packages and secure essential samples for the submittal process. - Order Processing Support:
Assist in order processing, ensuring accuracy, and liaise with the Dispatch team to promptly communicate order details to customers.
- Working with NY Account Managers updating current projects listed. GC's, bid date, Architect, current up-to-date information Etc.
- Establish the Top 5 must have NY projects for each Region.
- Prospecting opportunities using Dodge, The Builders Exchange, Architect, Etc. Getting a list of all bid opportunities.
- Once a new project has been entered on the Bid Tracker procure ALL potential sales opportunities. Core products, D-8, D-10, millwork, Fire caulk & spray Etc. (A full list will be provided)
- Schedule a bi-weekly meeting with Mike Johnston to discuss and update the Armstrong projects.
- Schedule a monthly meeting with Mark Lane to discuss and update AS projects.
- Schedule a 15-minute meeting with each Account Manager the week of the JFU meeting to make sure all updates are current and information is accurate.
- Working with other Kamco Divisions (D-8 & D-10) to open bid opportunities through relationships, current projects and opportunities with new customers.
- Once a project has been awarded on the Bid Tracker confirm PE's with Armstrong.
- "THE LOST PROJECT" & "THE WIN PROJECT" Both give us the information that is needed to transition a WAITING TO A WIN! Update on who, what, why this can help support us with current market information with turning WAITING into a WIN.
