Inside Sales Consultant

Paychex seeks an Inside Sales Consultant to drive revenue growth for our payroll, HR, and insurance solutions serving small and midsize businesses. In this phone and web-based role, you'll manage a high volume of inbound and outbound leads, qualify prospects, and run a consultative sales process to match clients with the right finance and insurance services. You'll leverage CRM tools, deliver virtual demos, negotiate pricing, and consistently meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Drive outbound and inbound calls to small and midsize business prospects to promote Paychex payroll, HR, and insurance solutions
• Qualify leads, uncover business needs, and recommend appropriate finance and insurance products
• Manage a consultative sales process from initial contact through close, meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline using CRM tools, accurately tracking activities and opportunities
• Collaborate with marketing and field sales to optimize campaigns and handoffs
• Provide product demonstrations and explain pricing, terms, and implementation steps clearly
• Stay current on payroll, HR, benefits, and regulatory trends to advise clients effectively
• Deliver exceptional customer experience, ensuring smooth onboarding handoff to service teams
