Compensation Range: $21.36 - $29.90 per hour

• Recruit families and run research appointments to gather data on youth suicidal behaviors, in accordance with Dr. Sheftall’s lab objectives.
• Assist in participant recruitment and screening activities; develop recruitment strategies and conduct telephone interviews to screen potential study candidates.
• Conduct visits to ensure protocol adherence, including completion of self‑report measures, interviews with study families, and documentation of adverse events.
• Ensure all data are collected and secured within approved parameters; enter and clean assigned data collected during research appointments.
• Prepare documents for data uploads to the NIMH Data Archive (NDA) system and verify accuracy.
• Provide research families clarifications on inclusion criteria, review study protocols, and maintain communication and documentation of adverse events as advised by the PI.
• Participate in training of new staff members (review self‑reports, interview questions).
• Present data for poster presentations and/or assist in manuscript preparation, if willing.

• Stay current with all federal, state, sponsor, and institutional policies and laws, standard operating procedures, and guidelines; make recommendations for implementation.
• Demonstrate accountability for continuous learning in accordance with Good Clinical Practice standards and guidelines.
• Keep current with industry standards and best practices relevant to research studies; make recommendations and implement changes as appropriate.

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• No previous experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., associate’s degree and completion of 6 months in the Human Subject Research Coordinator Trainee program).

• Flexibility to work evenings and some weekends.
• Proficiency in word processing and data analysis software.
• Must have access to and/or personal transportation (preferred).

• CITI certification preferred.
