Safely maneuver tractor trailers between LiDestri facilities and/or on LiDestri property
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Transport product between facilities utilizing tractor trailers;
- Perform yard checks and move empty trailers throughout lot;
- Apply security mechanisms (i.e. glad hands) and ensure trailers are properly seal to prevent theft and contamination;
- Maybe required to assist with maneuvering the railcar;
- Certified to operate lifts;
- Assist with Shipping/Receiving needs or performing other warehouse duties, as time allows;
- Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Must possess a valid CDL-A license and possess a current, valid DOT physical;
- Previous experience with shipping/receiving paperwork;
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots);
- Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning;
- Previous experience as a CDL-A driver.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to:
- Long periods of standing/moving, working around moving mechanical parts/conveyors
- Loud environment, hot/cold, wet/dry conditions
- Lifting/carrying
