Saturday‑Sunday 11 PM – 7 AM

Salary: $19.00 per hour

• Follow safety and security standards and complete incident reports as required.
• Patrol assigned area to ensure protection of clients, visitors, property, and equipment.
• Control and monitor access ingress and egress to assigned site; monitor burglar and fire alarm systems as required.
• Manage program parking locations, alert on unauthorized use and coordinate with towing agencies.
• Examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure security; use agency keys to open and close buildings; monitor closed buildings for unauthorized people and suspicious activities.
• Inform and warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Watch for and report irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders as required.
• Remain alert for the presence of unauthorized persons or security code violators; approach suspicious persons and/or notify police as appropriate; may confront and detain violators until police arrive.
• Provide backup to the receptionist, including directing incoming calls and welcoming visitors in the reception area.
• Participate in staff and department meetings as required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date professional knowledge through reading, workshops, and conferences.
• Possess active awareness and support of the agency's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan, including core competencies of collaboration, community focus, innovation, entrepreneurship, cultural competence, and diversity.
• Participate in relevant agency meetings and/or trainings.
• Skilfully pursue development of professional competencies related to job performance through supervision, in‑service training, and attendance at conferences and workshops.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• NY State Security Guard Registration required.
• Valid and clean NYS Driver's License preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience working as a security guard.
• Successful completion of a background check (contingent upon employment).
