Asset Protection Associate – Greece Ridge Ctr

Responsibilities

• Observe activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity; collect investigative evidence using CCTV and floor observations.
• Execute required company investigation routines to identify and resolve theft, properly documenting all stages.
• Conduct external interviews per local laws and company policy with customers and contractors suspected of theft.
• Report suspected fraud (credit/check and refund fraud) and infractions of company policy to AP and/or store leadership.
• Create and manage records using approved company methods for reporting apprehensions, witness statements, retention of evidence, and disposition of recovered merchandise.
• Collect evidence and/or monitor associate activity as directed by Asset Protection leadership regarding internal investigations, and serve as an interview witness.
• Identify potential acts of theft and fraud by observing associate/customer activity, exception reports, and referrals.
• Investigate suspicious behavior (collect intelligence, document behavior, etc.).
• Attend court hearings as required, updating appropriate files with related outcomes; maintain a professional relationship with local law‑enforcement.
• Travel to stores as necessary.
• Analyze intelligence on individuals and booster groups involved in theft.
• Support a safety culture through coaching, recognition, and control impressions.
• Aid store leadership in morning meetings to communicate current shrinkage and safety topics to associates.
• Walk store to identify potential hazards that could result in customer or associate injury.
• Take initiative to correct minor hazards on floor while reporting larger concerns to leadership.
• Provide emergency or critical incident response.
• Assist with incident investigations and complete associated reports.
• Assist with Asset Protection audits.
• Coach associates on keeping work areas and sales floor free of hazards to reduce risk of accidents.
• Support stores in cases of critical incidents, business disruptions, natural disasters, etc.

• 1+ years retail work experience, Asset Protection, or Security, or equivalent leadership experience/education preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience; AA/BA/BS in Criminal Justice or Business Management preferred.
• Must be age 18+.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to designated stores as assigned.

USD $18.50 per hour - $23.13 per hour.
