SENTRY (#1601) Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of the Principal and the Safety and Security Coordinator, patrol and monitor school buildings to ensure a safe and secure building environment, as well as the personal safety of students, staff, and visitors.
• Monitor main entrance and key locations of each building (elementary, BT, PHS).
• Monitor camera surveillance (1 per PHS, 1 per BT, and 1 per each elementary building), assist building principals in the retrieval, review, and copying of camera footage.
• Complete daily tours of each building to ensure the building is secure and the physical facilities are safe and secure. Manage traffic before and after school.
• Oversee main entrance presence and visitor management protocols.
• Conduct door, window, and parking lot checks.
• Escort students.
• Conduct bathroom sweeps.
• Complete routine monitoring of lunches, hallways, and after school student conduct.
• Support implementation of emergency procedures.
• Deliver suspension letters.
• Facility use management.
• K-12 coverage, as needed.
• PM coverage, as needed, with vehicle for campus sweeps.

• High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to successfully perform the duties of the position.
• Successful experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
• Experience working with adolescents preferred.

Building Principal and Safety and Security Coordinator

Ten-month position. Competitive benefit package.

$18.00 per hour
