Field Technician
The Field Technician is responsible for executing trenchless pipe rehabilitation work in commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal environments. This is a hands‑on role that includes the installation of cured‑in‑place pipe (CIPP), conducting robotic branch operations, operating CCTV inspection equipment, performing pipe cleaning and milling, and installing other pipe rehabilitation systems in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Perform trenchless pipe rehabilitation work including CIPP lining, pipe cleaning, descaling, and milling.
- Assist with liner preparation, wet‑out, inversion or pull‑in‑place installation, curing, and finishing.
- Operate CCTV inspection cameras and related equipment to document pipe conditions before and after rehabilitation.
- Safely operate tools, pumps, generators, compressors, and other job‑specific equipment.
- Set up and break down job sites, including hoses, cables, access points, and containment areas.
- Follow job plans, technical procedures, and direction from crew leads and supervisors.
- 1+ years of mechanical aptitude, whether from job experience or personal hobbies.
- Willingness to become OSHA certified and maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and have reliable transportation.
- Skills in construction, mechanical troubleshooting, and service.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with trenchless pipe rehabilitation and CIPP installations.
- Familiarity with operating CCTV inspection equipment and robotic branch operations.

Work EnvironmentWork in commercial and industrial environments, with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, plus the opportunity for 5-10 hours of weekly overtime. You will report to the shop daily and travel with other technicians to job sites. Some projects may require 1-2 days of overnight travel, with accommodations and per diem provided.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 – $35.00 per hour.
