This is a physically demanding position that requires a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety.

  • Use electric drain machines (cable machines) to remove stoppages in sinks, toilets, floor drains, and main sewer lines
  • Perform root cutting and grease removal in sewer mains and lateral lines
  • Clean and maintain storm drains, catch basins, grease traps, and lift stations
  • Respond to emergency drain and sewer service calls, including after‑hours when required
Inspection & Diagnostics

  • Accurately locate and mark sewer cleanouts, drain access points, and underground line paths
  • Document inspection findings with video and written reports for customers and office staff
  • Identify upsell opportunities such as pipe lining, spot repairs, or full replacements and communicate them professionally to customers

  • Perform daily pre‑trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
  • Keep equipment clean, organized, and in working order at all times
Customer Service & Professionalism
  • Represent the company professionally at all customer locations — residential homes, apartment complexes, restaurants, and commercial facilities
  • Explain findings and recommended services to customers in a clear, non‑technical manner
  • Collect payment and complete service documentation accurately in the field
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and leave job sites in the same or better condition than found
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all OSHA safety standards, confined space entry procedures, and company safety protocols
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on job sites
  • Properly handle, transport, and dispose of waste materials in compliance with local regulations
  • Participate in ongoing safety training and toolbox talks
Qualifications Required
  • 1+ year of experience in drain cleaning, plumbing, or a related trade (will consider motivated entry‑level candidates)
  • Ability to operate hydro‑jet and cable drain cleaning equipment
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Professional appearance and customer‑facing communication skills
Preferred
  • Experience with CCTV sewer camera systems (RIDGID, Aries, or similar)
  • Familiarity with commercial grease trap and lift station service
  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes and sewer regulations
  • Prior experience with Service Titan, Jobber, or similar field service software

This role requires frequent bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and working in confined, wet, or underground environments. Technicians must be comfortable working outdoors year‑round and may be exposed to raw sewage, hazardous gases, and other environmental conditions. Proper PPE and safety training are provided.
