Impact

We are seeking Experienced HVAC Technicians to service and repair commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell tower sites. This fast‑paced role is best suited for individuals who are responsible, self‑directed, highly motivated, willing to travel, and eager to learn and grow in the telecom industry. The position is regional; candidates should reside in the Rochester, New York area.

Core

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cooling systems—diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or replace components of entire systems.
  • Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
  • Perform additional maintenance or upgrades on out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
  • Respond to service calls promptly, including emergency call‑out services.
  • Complete daily work reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally in accordance with the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
Core Experience
  • Must hold Level 2 or Universal EPA Certification (required).
  • Have 3+ years of HVAC maintenance experience, preferably commercial.
  • Possess basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
Physical/Work Environment
  • Candidates must reside in the Rochester, New York area.
  • Available for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs on occasion.
  • Expect extensive daily travel within an independent work structure.
  • Occasional overnight stays required—company pays all travel costs and provides per diem.
  • Drive to remote work sites as needed.
  • Will be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
  • Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). rate: $30.00–$40.00 USD (DOE). Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including skill set, level of experience, and location. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, a company vehicle, per diem, or other applicable compensation. Full‑time employees receive a comprehensive benefits package including health and life insurance, a 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and professional development courses.

    The base pay range is $30 USD–$40 USD.
