This role develops the skills necessary to progress to a trained Utility Mechanic professional in the Wegmans Maintenance organization. You will be part of a team that is empowered to solve complex problems daily and continually learn and develop new skills. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of systems and state of the art equipment for a stable, growing, and dynamic company.

- Acquire the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to effectively repair equipment for emergency and non-emergency needs, and perform repairs on industrial refrigeration, HVAC and control systems with proper troubleshooting and safety techniques
- Create and maintain timely records of work
- Interact and coordinate with maintenance vendors
- Work and communicate effectively with a team, assisting other personnel as necessary to ensure all tasks are completed safely and in a timely manner
- Understand and comply with food and human safety procedures while performing maintenance tasks
- Maintain Wegmans’ high standards of quality and incredible customer service at all times
- 5 or more years of related work experience
- Sound mechanical and electrical background, as well as knowledge of welding and plumbing
- Strong computer skills, with ability to interface with various building and control systems
- Completion of EPA Universal Certification, and RSES, RETA and/or OSHA training is preferred
- Refrigeration and/or Steam License is preferred

OSHA 10-hour Card - OSHA:
Occupational Safety and Health Administration;
Experience with mechanical/technical projects including home improvements, remodeling, general repair work and effective and safe use of power tools; CFC/EPA Certification - State Board of Refrigeration Contractors
