Compensation$25.80 – $33.15 per hour (based on collective bargaining agreement)
Responsibilities- Plan and perform all necessary preparation and painting refinishing of buildings (interior and exterior), furniture, and equipment.
- Mix paints to the desired color, shade, and consistency using proportions of pigment, base, and thinner.
- Prepare and apply stains for furniture.
- Prepare surfaces properly for painting (wash, scrape, wire brush, etc.).
- Apply paint enamels (and related coatings) to proper thickness using brush, roller, or spray.
- Refinish wood floors.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding.
- Lay drop cloths to protect floors and furniture from paint splattering; move furniture as necessary.
- Clean the area after painting, including brushes and other painting equipment.
- Perform other special duties requiring comparable skill and responsibility as directed by supervision.
- May guide the work of Painter
B.
- 4–5 years of experience refinishing buildings (interior and exterior), furniture, and equipment.
- Proficiency in mixing paints to achieve desired color, shade, and consistency.
- Ability to prepare and apply stains for furniture.
- Competence in preparing surfaces for painting (wash, scrape, wire brush, etc.).
- Skill in applying paint enamels to proper thickness using brush, roller, or spray.
- Experience refining wood floors.
- Experience erecting and dismantling scaffolding.
- Capability to lay drop cloths and protect surfaces during painting.
- Proficiency in cleaning painting equipment post‑task.
- Willingness to perform additional duties requiring comparable skill and responsibility as directed by supervision.
- May guide the work of Painter
B. - 4–5 years of experience (overall) in the field.
