Salary Range: $20.00 to $26.00 hourly
Job SummaryThe Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility infrastructure and support systems within a manufacturing plant. This role ensures building systems, utilities, and production support equipment operate safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, electrical distribution, and lighting.
- Maintain and repair building infrastructure such as doors, docks, floors, walls, and roofing systems.
- Monitor and maintain utility systems (boilers, chillers, air compressors, water systems).
- Troubleshoot facility-related mechanical and electrical issues impacting production.
- Support installation and relocation of manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety regulations.
- Maintain facility maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs and inspections.
- Assist with emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Participate in continuous improvement and energy efficiency initiatives.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
- 2+ years of facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems (120V–480V), plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
- Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, machinery, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Requires standing, climbing ladders, and working around operating production equipment.
- PPE required (safety glasses, steel‑toe boots, hearing protection, etc.).
Monday thru Thursday 6:00 am - 3:30 pm
Friday 6:00 am - 11:00 am
