About the Role
Spotting a solution and fixing a problem is a tremendous technical skillset. It requires diligence, determination, and a knack for knowledge. Canon USA is looking for individuals who strive for excellence in operational, maintenance, and networking support to help our valued customers with basic technical expertise of Canon‑supported products.
Your Impact- Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
- Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
- Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups, including basic aspects of troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Meet and exceed customer demands by providing efficient, responsive, and accurate field, shop, or on‑site maintenance.
- Properly maintain all technical information, field service reports, expense reports, and Canon property.
- Provide direction to less experienced technicians and maintain all technical information and Canon property.
- Provide solutions for escalated technical or customer service‑related problem areas for any territory requested.
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
- HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
- Basic understanding of internet environments and ability to complete the 120‑day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new‑hire class.
- Required to obtain all necessary security and/or other clearances required by customers to enter premises.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 percent of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).
- Customer‑facing role requiring compliance with customer policies and protocols, including COVID‑19 vaccination and other measures.
- Hourly rate: $19.00 – $26.31.
- Will serve clients within the Manhattan, NY area.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside in the United States at the time of hire. No visa sponsorship will be provided.
Full‑Time, On Site – the position requires full‑time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory on scheduled work days.
