Industrial Operations Technician Responsibilities:- Learn to operate and monitor industrial mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Assist with the operation of boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, compressors, and other plant systems.
- Perform routine inspections and monitor equipment performance to identify potential issues.
- Record operating data and communicate equipment conditions to experienced operators.
- Support startup, shutdown, troubleshooting, and emergency operating procedures under supervision.
- Assist with preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Learn computerized monitoring and control systems used to operate industrial equipment.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures.
- Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs.
- Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school, military training, apprenticeship, or an Associate's degree in a mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, utilities, industrial maintenance, power generation, process operations, or a skilled trade is a plus.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read gauges, meters, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Comfortable learning computerized equipment monitoring systems.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings.
