Are you a hands‑on professional who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and helping customers when they need it most? McCarthy Tire Service is looking for a Commercial Tire Service/Fleet Technician to join our growing team in Rochester, NY.
In this role, you'll work both in the shop and in the field, servicing commercial vehicles and responding to roadside service calls. If you take pride in delivering quality work, value safety, and enjoy a fast‑paced environment, we want to hear from you.
What You'll DoAs a Commercial Tire Service/Fleet Technician, you will:
- Mount, dismount, repair, rotate, and balance commercial truck tires.
- Perform tire inspections and preventative maintenance services for fleet customers.
- Provide roadside tire service and emergency response support at customer locations.
- Safely operate company service vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while serving as a professional representative of McCarthy Tire.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to expand your technical knowledge and skills.
- Support on‑call and after‑hours service schedules as assigned.
- Assist with additional shop and service‑related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience servicing commercial and heavy‑duty tires, including mounting and dismounting.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy tires and equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Commercial tire industry certifications or related technical training.
- Experience working with fleet maintenance programs.
