Our Industrial Electric installs and maintains complex electrical systems in the power utility space. We work on a variety of substation projects and support much of the area's electrical infrastructure. We also work on other commercial projects throughout western New York.
This position is responsible for leading others in the delivery of Industrial Electric projects. The focus will be on electric utility substations and natural gas stations.
Reports to:
Division Manager
Essential Functions:
- Works with project managers to plan and execute jobs
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to determine how on-site work should be executed
- Assemble materials and equipment required for jobs assigned and requisitions materials as needed
- Leads electricians in the execution of work; ensure safe work practices and a high level of workmanship
- Provides encouragement, feedback and direction to team members on the job site
- Identify and diagnose problems
- Complete detailed work orders and maintain accurate records
- Adhere to all safety regulations and lock-out/tag-out procedures, as well as adhering to customer specific standards.
- Works along team members to deliver work as required
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of related electrician experience.
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong math aptitude.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Blueprint reading
- Project layout skills
- Conduit bending (both power and hand bending)
- Conduit threading (both power and hand threading)
- Layout of underground services
- Basic computer skills
Compensation: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour based on experience

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
