Apartment Maintenance Technician – $24–$27/Hour

We’re seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians who want steady, year-round work and the chance to make a real impact for residents.
$24–$27 per hour
Pay depends on your experience, technical skills, and certifications. If you know apartment maintenance, can troubleshoot issues fast, or have EPA/HVAC certification, you’ll be considered for the higher end of the range.
What You’ll Tackle- Turn apartments and get vacant units ready for new residents
- Clean, remove debris, and patch/paint walls during make-readies
- Handle basic plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and HVAC repairs
- Respond to resident service requests—quickly and professionally
- Inspect units, complete checklists, and prep for agency inspections
- Stay on top of routine and preventative maintenance throughout multiple properties
- Keep grounds, common areas, and curb appeal in top shape
- Use a smartphone app to track work orders and document repairs
- Pitch in at other Rochester communities as needed
- Help with snow removal and seasonal needs
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as required
- At least one year of hands-on maintenance experience
- Experience in apartment, building, hotel, or facilities maintenance
- Working knowledge of turns, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and basic HVAC
- Ability to spot maintenance problems and know what to do next
- Basic computer and smartphone skills
- Strong organization, time management, and communication
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance
- Able to lift 50 pounds and work inside/outside in all weather
- Flexibility for after-hours emergencies and travel between sites
- Direct apartment or multi-site maintenance experience
- EPA/HVAC or OSHA certification
- On-call rotation experience
- Hospitality/hotel maintenance background
