HVAC Technician

Pearce is a leading technology-enabled provider of asset management solutions for mission‑critical electromechanical infrastructure across North America. Pearce delivers technical maintenance, repair, operations, and engineering services for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, backup power generators, battery energy storage systems (BESS), critical cooling systems, and other electrical and mechanical infrastructure in markets such as renewable energy, telecom, and data centers.

Experienced HVAC Technicians are needed to service and repair commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell tower sites. This regional position requires a self‑directed, highly motivated individual who is willing to travel, handle emergency call‑outs, and grow in the telecom industry. Candidates should reside in the Rochester, New York area.

• Maintain cooling systems—diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.
• Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Perform additional maintenance or upgrades to out‑of‑season HVAC equipment.
• Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call‑out services.
• Complete daily work reports accurately and timely.
• Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.

• Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
• 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
• Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.

Additional Requirements:

• Must reside in the Rochester, New York area.
• Available for after‑hours and weekend call‑outs on occasion.
• Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.
• Occasional overnights required—company pays all travel costs and provides per diem.
• Driving to remote work sites as needed.
• Exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
• Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). hourly, DOE.
