HVAC Service Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance checks on HVAC systems, including cleaning, adjusting, and replacing parts as needed.
• Diagnose problems with HVAC units and repair them using diagnostic tools and system blueprints.
• Test HVAC systems after installation or repairs and make adjustments to ensure proper operation.
• Interact with customers to answer questions, provide guidance on maintenance, energy efficiency, and upgrades.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local safety regulations and building codes during installations and repairs.
• Clean all components of HVAC systems, such as filters, ducts, and vents, to maintain air quality and efficiency.
• Provide emergency services for system breakdowns during extreme weather conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, repairs, and other work performed on each system.
• Stay updated with latest HVAC technology, including eco‑friendly options and smart home integrations, through continuing education and certification programs.

• Minimum of 2 years of residential/light commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair experience.
• Proficiency in using various tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with customers and team members.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
