Skills & Experience:

2–3+ years of hands-on maintenance/repair experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or basic electrical equipment

• High school diploma or college degree
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/industrial environment, including heights, confined spaces, and hot/cold conditions

Nice to Have

Skills & Experience:

SAP experience

• Experience with other maintenance/site systems
• Previous safety certifications or training such as lockout/tagout, forklift, scissor lift, or respirator
• Broader experience across multiple maintenance disciplines, especially mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs

Job Description:

Insight Global is looking for a Maintenance Technician in Rochester, NY to join a large, global manufacturing organization with a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. Day to day, this individual will perform preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, basic electrical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues, and respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime. The technician will also calibrate instrumentation and maintain facility systems such as compressors, chillers, HVAC, steam, and condensate equipment.

Additional responsibilities include reading blueprints and equipment manuals, using hand and power tools and electrical meters, documenting completed maintenance and equipment modifications, ordering necessary parts and materials, and coordinating with vendors for equipment support. This individual will work closely with the broader maintenance team while following all site safety procedures, policies, and maintenance standards.
