Overview

Position Title: Relief Staff Administrator
Location: Rochester, NY
Status: Full-Time (35 hours) - non-exempt
Pay Rate: $24-$25.50/hour

We provide comprehensive services, including residential support, counseling, peer support and community outreach to empower individuals to overcome mental health and substance use disorders and lead fulfilling lives. The Relief Staff Administrator plays a critical leadership role in ensuring consistent, high-quality staffing coverage and effective day-to-day residential operations across East House programs. This position is responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance management of Residential Relief Staff, while also supporting site operations, staff compliance, documentation, and recovery-oriented programming in collaboration with Residential Management, Human Resources, Learning & Development, and Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with HR to implement recruitment strategies
  • Screen candidates, conduct initial assessments, and coordinate interviews
  • Maintain communication with candidates and verify qualifications
  • Ensure completion of onboarding and required training
  • Develop and deliver training; evaluate effectiveness
  • Build and maintain a cross-trained relief staff pool
  • Assess staffing needs across programs
  • Schedule relief staff and monitor minimum work-hour requirements
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and feedback
  • Conduct evaluations and support performance improvement
  • Ensure adherence to policies
  • Monitor documentation and site operations
  • Participate in incident reviews and support recovery programming
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with Ethics, Compliance & Quality on corrective actions

Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field and five years’ paid human service experience
  • or Master’s degree in human services and three years’ paid human service experience
  • Supervisory experience in residential services preferred.
