M‑F, 7:00 am‑12:00 pm

$19.00 per hour

Under general supervision, the Transportation Specialist works in close coordination with associated program case managers, other program staff and program partners to support non‑medical services to Program clients. Effectively supports ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff and is responsible for ensuring a trauma‑informed care environment.

• Transport clients to necessary appointments.
• Provide client assistance with grocery shopping, prescription pick‑up, banking, friendly visiting, light chores, and essential errands.
• Keep clients updated of available community resources.
• Provide information to clients and their service providers.
• Complete and maintain accurate activity records such as:
  • Accurate mileage and time‑sheet records
  • Report problems, incidents to supervisor in a timely manner
  • Up‑to‑date client service schedule and accurate records of trips and contacts
• Facilitate vehicle up‑keep and repair to include, but not limited to, inspections and oil changes.
• Adhere to agency financial policies/procedures (i.e. use of credit card).
• Complete semi‑annual reports on client progress and status.
• Participate in program fundraising activities.
• Communicate with the office for messages once per day.
• Assist program management staff in completion of required clerical and/or administrative work as needed.
• Participate in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings.
• Actively pursue development of professional competencies related to job performance through reading, supervision, in‑service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.
• Demonstrate awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan, including supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and Diverse.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Credentials: Valid and clean NYS driver's license and valid registration and insurance documents.
• Experience: One‑year professional driving experience preferred.
