Location: City of Rochester

The Center for Youth: Started BY YOUTH FOR YOUTH. We partner with youth to realize their full potential, by creating opportunities, removing barriers and promoting social justice.

Overview

The Re‑engaging Teens Restoring Justice Program will focus on youth ages 14–19, who have dropped out or are at risk of dropping out of school, have been released from or are participants in the juvenile justice system, are struggling with homelessness and food insecurity, and whose connections with meaningful adults are lacking.

Transitional Navigators are part of a community‑based team and are assigned to a specific focus area including: school‑based programs, runaway and homeless youth programs, teen court/juvenile justice programs, community engagement/teen empowerment, or workforce/gun violence prevention programs.

Schedule:

Full time, 35 hours per week. 12‑month position.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a restorative‑based system
  • Create and oversee data collection and program evaluation processes
  • Provide monthly reports to the Associate Director
  • Coordinate requests for Prevention Education services
  • Outreach and information dissemination
  • Referral and referral readiness
  • Immediate response and support
  • Prevention education
  • Social/emotional support services
  • Case management
  • Immediate crisis response
  • Asset development activities
  • Transitional services
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Service or related field AND 1–3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Pay Rate: $22 – $24.75 per hour.
