Summary:

The Software Engineer is responsible for working on projects that are currently being visualized or developed by our organization. This role will be involved with the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and framework, directing software system validation and testing methods, as well as directing software programming initiatives. This position works closely with clients and cross‑functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals.

This role is specific to ETL Development.

Key skills and knowledge:

  • Programming languages: XML, JavaScript, SQL
  • Developer tools:
    Git, Azure Dev Ops, CDIPC – Cloud Data Integration for Power Center
  • ETL Process Development:
    Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Informatica Power Center or other relevant Informatica tools.
  • SQL Proficiency:
    Utilize SQL/PLSQL to extract, transform, and load data. Exposure to advanced transformations such as parsing JSON/XML messages.

  • Develop code, analyze, research, and resolve associated system issues.
  • Participate in on‑call production support rotation.
  • Support, maintain, create and follow all documented IT processes and standards, application documentation, and design and code reviews.
  • Collaborate and communicate with team members and associates throughout the business to understand requirements and identify application impacts.
  • Create individual work plans, specifications and programs with guidance utilizing development procedures and standards.
  • Develop skillset in one tool and ability to utilize the approved source control.
  • Establish a basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and framework used by your team; demonstrate basic understanding and application one year after hire.
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies’ mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.

  • Develop understanding in one supported enterprise technology; demonstrate intermediate understanding and application one year after hire.

  • Proactively identify process and technical deficiencies, troubleshoot and offer solutions.
  • Identify best practices and participate in creation of organizational standards.
  • Progress the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and framework forward by demonstrating advanced understanding and application.
  • Provide intermediary understanding of one supported enterprise technology and develop an additional basic understanding of another enterprise technology; demonstrate intermediate understanding and application after one year.

  • Assist with software and system design and architecture within the assigned portfolio.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risk and translate those strategies into specific action plans.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert in technical area(s) of expertise. Identify best practices and drive creation of organizational standards and processes.
  • Progress the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and framework forward by demonstrating advanced understanding and application.
  • Provide understanding and expertise of two supported enterprise technologies and develop an additional basic understanding of another enterprise technology; demonstrate advanced understanding and application after one year.
