Location: City of Rochester
Senior Associate, Infrastructure and Asset Based Credit
The Blackstone Credit & Insurance team is looking for a Quant Senior Associate to enhance their technology stack for the residential mortgage loan business. This role combines software engineering with credit investing, allowing you to work closely with investment professionals. You’ll be responsible for designing systems that improve efficiency and scalability in the mortgage loan lifecycle.
What You’ll Do- Map out complex processes in the mortgage loan lifecycle
- Design and implement technology solutions for loan management
- Coordinate projects across various teams
- Build and maintain data infrastructure for reporting and analytics
- Work with central technology teams on system architecture
- Establish best practices for engineering
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience as a software developer/engineer
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python, C++, C#, or Java
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines and APIs
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure like AWS or Azure
- Good communication skills to work with non-technical partners
- Interest in financial services or real estate finance is a plus
