Grounds Crew - PT Seasonal
This position runs from April - September
The Rochester Red Wings, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, play at Frontier Field located in downtown Rochester, NY. The playing surface is a sand-based Kentucky bluegrass field that hosts 75 Minor League Baseball games, high school baseball games, boy/girl scout sleepovers, kids camps, batting practices as well as other special events. The events are hosted throughout the year including non-game days.
Job DescriptionResponsible for the following:
- Mowing, repairing mound and plate areas
- Assisting with infield skin maintenance
- Sodding, aerating and topdressing
- Tarp pulls and preparing field during inclement weather
- Set up and tear down of batting practice and special events
- Able to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs. with ease
- Able to operate necessary turf equipment with training
- Highly motivated individuals interested in working in baseball long term
