Day Shift Sweeper Operator; Rochester

Under general supervision performs the full array of duties related to the operation of complex heavy motorized street sweeping equipment to provide clean streets and other public areas; inspects sweeper and auxiliary equipment; assists in performing other street maintenance duties as assigned, and performs other related duties as required.

The Sweeper Operator is an entry-level class responsible for the operation of a street sweeper within an assigned area or route.

The position would require you to travel in our sweeper truck to several locations throughout the day and perform a series of tasks at each location.

• Handpicking trash/litter from the flower bed/grass areas
• Using a leaf blower to clear the sidewalks of trash/litter
• Changing trash can liners
• Cleaning curb corners
• Cleaning loading docks
• Cleaning in/around dumpster areas
• Clean the Interior/Exterior of the truck
• Perform a Pre/Post Inspection of the truck
• Refueling and dumping material
• Complete all assigned tasks within quality control standards
• Document all services using paper and digital forms and/or IVR systems
• Successfully pass a Written and Performance Evaluation by a certified company trainer

A typical Day Shift would start around 4AM is designed for an 8hr shift.
