CDL Truck Driver

As a CDL Class A truck driver at Wegmans, you’ll make timely, safe, and efficient deliveries to our stores while operating top of the line 2020 and newer equipment with the latest safety technologies, driver comforts, forward working cameras, air ride suspension, disc brakes and fully ELD equipped.

• CDL-A License and 1 year of CDL Class A Tractor Trailer driving experience required
• Pursuant to DOT, this position requires the candidate to “read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and record”.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driver’s abstract with no moving violations in the last 3 years, and no reckless driving or drug/alcohol violations in the last 7 years
• Employment as a driver at Wegmans is contingent upon completion and our evaluation of a drug test, DOT drug test, DOT physical, background check, employment verification, driver’s abstract/PSP review, as well as a skills evaluation

Commercial driving experience after receiving a Class A License; CDL:
Commercial Driver License - FMSCA:
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration;
Work Environment Work includes prolonged sitting and driving, walking, climbing, reaching including reaching and lifting above shoulder height, and repetitive and sustained hand and arm movements in a variety of short and long distance driving situations. May include loading and unloading trailer. May perform hook and break up of trailer and drop and switch of trailers at stores, warehouse, vendor facility, back haul location or expressway interchange.

The average weight range of items lifted is 5-10 pounds with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds rarely. The work environment involves seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather.
