Shipping Specialist

Job Description:

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Pay: $19.75-$21.00/hour, based on experience
Location: Rochester, NY 14624

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Specialist to join a high-performing shipping team. This position will support both domestic and international shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring warehouse operations run efficiently.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, safety-conscious, and committed to accuracy. You will work as part of a small, dedicated team focused on quality, customer satisfaction, and timely results.

• Prepare and complete domestic and international shipments for delivery or pickup according to schedules and priorities.
• Coordinate shipping activities using warehouse management systems and external shipping platforms.
• Receive and process warehouse stock, products, and parts, including receiving, labeling, system entry, and proper placement.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer service by providing accurate, timely, and high-quality results.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse by keeping shelves, pallet areas, workstations, and aisles neat and orderly.
• Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts, to maintain accuracy and support internal and external audits.
• Follow all departmental safety standards, processes, and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with team members and contribute to a professional environment that values teamwork, inclusion, and growth.
• Lead by example by demonstrating dependability, professionalism, and attention to detail.

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience using warehouse management or inventory systems, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Knowledge of standard warehouse practices and procedures.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Forklift and electric stacker experience required.

• Experience with warehouse management systems and shipping software.
• Experience with D365 is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
• Willingness to learn new processes and recommend improvements.
• Strong customer-service mindset with a focus on quality and achieving results.
• Excellent communication, reliability, and attention to detail.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to repeatedly bend, squat, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.

$19.75 - $21.00 / hr
