We re currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, highly regarded independent garage based in the Rochford area. This business has built its reputation on integrity, transparency, and quality workmanship, and is now looking to add an experienced Vehicle Technician to its team.

The Role

You ll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of mechanical repairs and servicing work on cars and light commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with customer expectations.

Work undertaken includes:

• Servicing and routine maintenance
• MOT repairs
• Brake and clutch replacements
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• General mechanical repairs on most makes and models of cars and light vans

Working Hours

• 40-hour working week
• Monday to Friday: 8:00am 5:00pm (1 hour lunch)
• Saturday rota:
  Fortnightly, 8:00am 4:00pm
• Mid-week day off on weeks where Saturday is worked

Salary & Package

• £32,000 basic salary
• Efficiency bonus paid above 82.5%
• OTE circa £42,000
• Overtime and holiday cover paid when required

What We re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
• Comprehensive personal tool kit
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
• Pride in producing quality work
• Good communication skills, commitment, and accountability
