Elementary Principal; K-2

• Supervise, assign, and evaluate certified and non-certified staff.
• Oversee district-wide English Learner (EL) services and programming.
• Lead school improvement initiatives, student performance tracking, curriculum development, and student discipline.
• Direct staff development planning and professional learning activities.
• Partner with the Bi-County Special Education Cooperative to support specialized programming.
• Supervise implementation of assessments for various grade levels and state mandates.
• Collaborate effectively with district administration and the Board of Education.

Qualifications

• Experience: Successful classroom teaching experience and demonstrated exposure to administrative duties.
• Leadership & Management: Strong personnel management skills, student-centered vision, and the ability to involve staff in achieving positive educational outcomes.
• Communication & Growth: Proven ability to engage in difficult conversations, along with a strong willingness to be coached and mentored.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: $80,000-$90,000 depending on experience
• Paid Time Off: 14 Sick Days, 3 Personal Days, and 20 Vacation Days per year.

Position Overview

Rock Falls ESD #13 is seeking a student-centered and collaborative leader to serve as Principal at Dillon Elementary School (K–2). Supervising certified and non-certified staff and over 200 students, the Principal will cultivate an inclusive, high-performing learning environment. Dillon Elementary houses a primary elementary life skills classroom for the Bi-County Special Education Cooperative. Additionally, the selected candidate will assume district-wide administrative oversight for English Learner (EL) services.
