Universal Banker - Midland States Bank Midland States Bank seeks a Universal Banker to deliver exceptional customer service across our Banking, Insurance & Investment products. You will open and service accounts, process transactions, support digital banking, and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Using state-of-the-art technology, you'll help clients navigate everyday banking needs, resolve issues, and improve their financial well-being. Collaborating with a team that values integrity and customer focus, you'll cross-sell services, maintain compliance with banking regulations, and contribute to a positive branch environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-branch and digital banking support to consumer and small business clients
• Open, maintain, and close checking, savings, CD, and other deposit accounts
• Process teller transactions including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and transfers
• Educate customers on online, mobile, and ATM banking tools and troubleshoot basic issues
• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate banking, insurance, and investment products
• Meet or exceed sales, referral, and customer satisfaction goals
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, KYC/AML, and all relevant regulations
• Accurately balance cash drawer and reconcile discrepancies
• Support branch operations including documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting
• Collaborate with team members to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience
